Immigration Physicals in Fairfax, VA: What Should You Bring to Your Immigration Medical Exam?

Your application for permanent residency is ready to file except for the medical exam. However, your vaccine records sit in three places, from a clinic back home to a pharmacy in Arlington and the student health office from college. So, before you book immigration physicals in Fairfax, VA, you’d like to know which papers to bring so you only make the trip once. Here’s what our immigration exam page asks for at Annandale Primary Care.

What ID and Forms Should I Bring to Immigration Physicals in Fairfax, VA?

Our immigration exam page asks for your identification, your vaccination records and your medical history. In addition, our Fairfax immigration post names your passport first, and our same-day immigration post adds a list of your current medications. Then, at the visit, Dr. Connie Le completes Form I-693, the Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record.

What If My Immigration Vaccine Records Come From Another Country?

First, bring every card and printout you have, from the clinic back home to the pharmacy in Arlington, and you and Dr. Le will go through them together. In the event a dose is missing, our immigration exam page notes that the civil surgeon will give you the required vaccinations and order any lab tests, such as TB screening or blood tests.

Should I Bring a Medication List and Old Test Results to My Immigration Exam?

Yes. According to Healthline, your list should include over-the-counter drugs and herbal supplements. Also, bring the results of any recent tests, since your records come from different providers.

Will I Leave My Immigration Exam With the Form?

In most cases, yes. Our same-day immigration post notes that you’ll typically receive your results the day of your exam, in a sealed envelope. Then, keep it closed. USCIS notes that it will return the form if anyone has opened the envelope.

Dr. Le completed her internal medicine residency at George Washington University in 2003. Today, she sees patients at both our Fairfax office on Old Lee Highway and our Annandale office on Evergreen Lane.
